THE CONCEPT
Every love is a story worth telling…
Love Affair is a year-end collective exhibition built around a simple, universal idea “Love”. Love takes a thousand different forms and all of them are worth celebrating. We invite artists to share their interpretation of “Love Affair” in its broadest sense – romantic love, passion, devotion, longing, break-up, admiration, nature, pets, homeland, art, memories, colors & more. Tell us your story, bring a part of yourself.
This exhibition is meant to be a joyful end-of-year affair in which many voices, many loves, and many ways of seeing come together under one roof. Whether you are an experienced artist or showing your work for the very first time, you are welcome here.
Selection will be based on variety of works that connect well together and to the theme and fit our space.
Accepted Media
Painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, drawing and installation.
Practical Information
Approximate Agenda
- 15 August 2026 — Open Call launches. Submissions open.
- 12 October 2026 — Submission deadline (midnight CET).
- 30 October 2026 — Selection announced. All applicants are notified by email.
- 4–15 November 2026 — Artwork delivery and installation.
- 2 December 2026 (Wednesday) — Vernissage 6–8 pm.
- 18 November – 19 December 2026 — Exhibition open to the public.
- Venue: The House of Art, Rue de l ’Est 8, 1207 Geneva
- Commission of 25% is retained in case of sale
- Submission fee: CHF 20. or 22 Euros – (non-refundable) even if application is not accepted. After your application is accepted, NO additional fees will be charged.

Submission Guidelines
How to Apply
Send your file to: thehouseofart@crgf.ch with the following:
- Photos of up to maximum 5 artworks
- Titles, mediums, dimensions and sales price
- Short artist bio & a brief artist statement explaining your approach to the theme (2-3 sentences)
- Confirmation of payment

Artist Responsibilities:
– Shipping of artworks to and from the exhibition
